Tips for a better photo
- Daylight from a window beats flash. Flash flattens fur and makes eyes glow.
- Get down to eye level with your pet. A photo taken from above makes the head look small.
- Fill the frame: the face and shoulders should take up most of the picture.
- Keep whiskers and ears inside the frame and in focus. Wait for a sharp shot, not a perfect pose.
- One pet per photo gives the cleanest result. Use a second photo for another pet.
The free preview works today. The AI portrait, full-size files, a second pet and print-quality cards are not available yet. See the planned plans or join the waitlist. Nothing is charged.
Two layouts
Card 5×7. The standard greeting-card size in the US. The preview is drawn at 560 × 800 pixels; the print-quality version (not available yet) is planned at 1500 × 2100 pixels, which is 300 dpi at 5×7 inches.
Square post. A square version for social posts and group chats, in the same design.
Writing the greeting
The text is yours; nothing is pre-written for you except a starting line. Short beats long: Merry Christmas from the whole pack, Wishing you a season full of treats, Paws and reflect: happy holidays. Long lines are wrapped for you and shrink to fit, up to four lines.
Print at home
For now the free card is a watermarked preview, so it is for planning, not for sending. When the print-quality version opens, a home printer set to 5×7 on matte photo paper works well, or send the file to a print shop and ask for 5×7 cards with envelopes. Print one test copy first.
Digital means no shipping deadline
A mailed custom card has an order-by date. A digital card file does not, because there is nothing to ship: you print it yourself or share it on screen. The catch is honest and simple: full cards are not available yet. Join the waitlist and we will email you once when they are.
Questions people ask
How do I make a Christmas card with my pet’s photo?
Add the photo above, keep the Christmas card style, choose Card 5×7 or Square post, write your greeting and add the name. The preview updates as you type.
What size is a pet Christmas card?
The usual size is 5×7 inches. The print-quality card is not available yet (coming soon); the file is planned at 1500 × 2100 pixels (300 dpi). The square version is for sharing online.
Can I write my own message?
Yes. The greeting is yours, up to 120 characters. It is drawn on the card in your browser and is never sent to the site.
Is it too late to order for Christmas?
A digital card has no shipping cut-off, so there is no postal deadline. Full cards are not open yet, so we cannot promise a date, and we will email you once when they open.
Can I print the card at home?
Not yet: the print-quality card is not available yet (coming soon). Once it launches you can print it at home. The free preview is small and watermarked, so use it only to plan the design.
